Account and security
Everything on this page lives behind the gear icon, which sits in the corner of every tab.
Password and email
Under Settings › Security you can Change Password and Change Email. Changing your email sends a verification code to the new address, so it has to be one you can actually read.
Locked out? Use the forgotten-password link on the sign-in screen rather than emailing us — it is faster and it works at three in the morning.
Timezone
Settings › Timezone is what call times, summaries and daily boundaries are reported against. Worth setting deliberately if you travel or if you signed up while away from home.
Notifications and email summaries
Two separate things, both under Settings:
- Notifications — push alerts, with independent switches for new recordings and for voicemails.
- Email summaries — an email after every call. Turn it off if you would rather read summaries only in the app.
Usage and subscription
Settings › Subscription shows usage for the current month: minutes used, minutes remaining, and total call time. Recorded meetings are metered separately, under Meeting hours.
Go past a limit and nothing is discarded. Calls and meetings beyond it are held — the audio is kept, and what waits is the transcription and summary. Settings › Held calls & meetings shows how many are waiting and how much time they represent, and lets you pick which of them to process rather than working through them in order. See What happens if you run out.
Epocra is free during the beta, with no credit card to start, and you get the full product rather than a cut-down version. When paid plans begin you will hear about it well before anything changes — nobody is charged without being told first and choosing to continue.
Signing out
Sign out at the bottom of Settings signs out that device only. Your other devices stay signed in, and nothing is deleted.
Closing your account
If you set up call forwarding, turn it off before you close the account. Your Epocra number is released when the account closes, and calls still forwarding to it will not reach you. The codes are on the forwarding page.
You can close your account yourself, from Settings, at any time, without contacting anyone. There is no notice period and nothing to phone up about.
Delete account walks you through three steps: a review of what is
about to happen, a short optional survey, and a confirmation where you re-enter your
password and type DELETE. The survey can be skipped. The confirmation
step tells you the deletion timeline before you commit.
