Forward your number to Epocra

Before you dial

You need your Epocra number in front of you, because it forms part of the code. Find it in the purple box at the top of Settings, or near the top of your welcome email.

Dial the code from the phone you want forwarded — the code and your Epocra number are one continuous string, dialled like a phone number.

Turning forwarding on

Mint, Cricket and Google Fi are among the networks that use the same GSM codes as T-Mobile and AT&T. On AT&T, wait for the confirmation tone before hanging up.

What forwarding actually changes

• Your own dialler stops ringing. That is the point: the call goes to Epocra instead and rings in the app.
• Your carrier voicemail stops taking messages, because calls never reach it. Epocra answers voicemail instead, and transcribes it.
• Outgoing calls are not affected at all.
• Nothing is permanent. One code puts it all back.

Checking it worked

Call your own number from another phone. It should ring in the Epocra app rather than on your handset. If it rings on your handset as normal, the code did not take — see Troubleshooting.

Turning forwarding off

Just the code this time, with no number after it. It is immediate, and your phone goes back to exactly how it was.

Can I move my number to Epocra permanently?

Not at the moment — number porting is not supported yet. Forwarding achieves the same practical result: you keep your number and your carrier, and calls to it ring in Epocra.
