Tasks

The things you said you would do, taken off your calls automatically and put in one list. You did not type any of them.

Where tasks come from

Every recorded call is read for commitments — things you agreed to send, book, confirm or chase. Those become action items on the call, and they collect in the Tasks tab.

You do not create them by hand and you do not have to remember to. If it was said on the call, it is in the list.

Open, completed, and other people's

  • Open — yours, still outstanding. This is the working list.
  • Completed — yours, done. Kept rather than discarded, so you can show what was actually delivered.
  • Others' tasks — commitments the other person made on a call. What they owe you, not what you owe them, which is the half most people never write down.

Where a call gave a deadline, the task carries a due date.

Ticking things off

Mark a task done and it moves to Completed. Did it by mistake? It can be undone, so a mis-tap costs nothing.

Completing a task syncs immediately to your other devices. Tick something off on your phone and the desktop app updates while you are looking at it — no refresh, no waiting.

The tab carries a badge for what is still open, so the count is visible without opening it.

Tasks in the context of the call

A task is never orphaned from where it came from. Open the call and you see its action items alongside the summary and transcript, so you can check what was actually said before acting on a one-line reminder.

They also surface where you need them most: when that person rings you again, their outstanding tasks are on the call screen before you answer. See During a call.

Measuring follow-through

Because completion is tracked, it can be counted. Action item completion is one of the cards you can put on the analytics dashboard — how much of what you promised actually got done, over whatever period you choose. See Analytics.
